Super 8 by Wyndham Yellowknife

my room was huge, had a separate living room and bedroom. Even had a round 4 person table. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a really nice lake trail and it's only a 5 min walk to get there. You can walk all the way downtown in 25-30 min. The fitness centre was tiny but better than nothing. Had a treadmill, elliptical and some free weights (20lb and below). The lady serving breakfast is super friendly and deserves a shout-out. I love how close it is to walmart, other groceries stores and lots of restaurants.

I had one night planned, but a flight got canceled so I had to stay another night. I'm glad I was able to spend both nights here. I chose it because of the location, it's the perfect spot in Yellowknife. I forget her name but the staff that checked me in was amazing. She made sure I had the right rate, asked if I was hungry and suggested places to go, and told me a shortcut how to walk there. The only thing that was slightly inconvenient was that my room was too hot, 30 degrees, and it wouldn't go down, so I opened the window to cool down. But it was quiet even with the window open. Being a weekend, Saturday night, I was surprised. I plan on staying here whenever I have connecting flights in the future. It books fast, so make sure you book in advance. I got lucky.

Room is simple but very clean and quiet. The most I love is a lady who serves the breakfast, she is so passionate and always welcoming, her smile can make you feel happy all day!

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Anmol and Riza went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Two people in our family needed privacy for office calls at the same time. Rixa very kindly helped and we could both attend to our work.

I had a wonderful stay at the Super 8 Hotel in Yellowknife, but what truly stood out was the kindness and support of the staff. During my stay, I faced some health challenges and was unable to go out due to dizziness. The General Manager went above and beyond to help me get food and essential cooking supplies, including a bottle apple juice, a whole chicken, a chopping board, a kitchen knife, and even the exact rice cooker I prefer to use. Additionally, when I needed an escort back to the hotel, the General Manager coordinated with a kitchen staff member to accompany me. The staff member was incredibly caring and made sure I got back safely and She was spending her time after work on taking care of me. This level of support meant so much to me during a difficult time! I am truly grateful for their generosity and compassion. Highly recommend this hotel not only for its accommodations but also for the outstanding hospitality.

Staff at front desk at check in and check out were very friendly and eager to help with my questions. Internet speed was very good. Parking lot is safe and monitored at night. Had a very minor issue with plumbing, the building tradesman named Jenis was at my door immediately (within a minute) to make sure it was not an emergency. He let me know he was helping another guest and he returned ten minutes later and fixed the issue. Very professional. Good man. I would definitely stay at your hotel again. Thank you.

Certainly not my first choice as I typically stay downtown at an another hotel that was not available this trip. The decor is dated and not overly appealing…. But hey it’s a Super 8. My room was huge; basically a suite with dining table, living room, large desk, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker etc. The free continental breakfast and proximity to Walmart, Marks Warehouse, Tim Hortons, Starbucks etc etc is fantastic. Staff is really great too! No complaints. If you’re looking for a clean, convenient stay and friendly service … you’ll find that here
